Las Vegas
Las Vegas
Last week we were in Las Vegas. I got the trip as a birthday present from Daniel and Sonja since I just turned 30.. (Yeah don‘t tell anyone 😉
We took a direct flight with Norwegian from Stockholm that took about 10 hours and since Norwegian has bought new long-distance airplanes called Dreamliner with comfortable seats and own TV screen in the seats I can highly recommend them.
Vegas is a great place to visit for couple of days but I really wouldn’t spent too much time there.. Yes it is the entertainment capital of the world where they have gathered all possible adult entertainment, but I wouldn’t spend more than three or four days there. You will manage to see everything worth seeing in only a couple of days.
We stayed at the Venetian. It‘s a beautiful hotel, inspired by Venice with an inside lake running through the hotel, huge casino and over 100 shops and restaurants. The rooms are big and comfortable and the hotel is really beautiful and classy. The staff is very polite and professional. I can highly recommend it 🙂
Vegas offers variety of concerts, live shows, shops and restaurants. All the hotels have casinos and their own shopping centers with both exclusive brands like Gucci, Versace and Louis Vuitton and more price worthy brands like H&M, Abercrombi and Zara.
Since the casinos make money of people gambling I can give you a really good tip. As soon as you have put money into the slot, ask the waiter for a drink. Tell him/her that you are spending money at their casino and they will bring you drinks for free as long as you sit there and play.
We decided to see a show in Vegas and since I’ve always been a big Britney Spears fan we bought tickets to see her show at Caesars Palace. We were really late to get tickets but I recommend you talk to the reception at your hotel and get them to book tickets for you. They get better deals and have a direct contact with the box offices.
Must see:
- Fountains of Bellagio
- Cirque de Soleil
- Madame Tussauds
- The Titanic exhibition at Luxor
