About self esteem and self worth:

I´m a pretty decent guy! I don´t hurt people intentionally, I do good deeds, I believe I greet everyone the same and don´t look down on people if they are different. I did good in school as a kid, was better at social things than strategic things. I try to inspire others and make a good example and sometimes I do great at it and sometimes not so great! I am talented when it comes to the human emotions and I often understand the many different sites of the truth so it comes easy for me to be diplomatic when everyone else is judging. However … I am my worst enemy and even though I have counted various things that makes me great, I still wake up some days thinking I’m total rubbish and don´t get why people love me.
The reason for this way to personal out loud thinking (writing) is that no matter how good we look in the eyes of others or how great we actually are, we need to be alert all the time and remember to be nice to ourselves IN OUR HEAD. If we don´t love ourselves, how are we suppose to spread love to others in the world?

Today is a beautiful day.

I’m trying my best to stay present and enjoy! I am one of those people who have a hard time staying in the now.. My mind is always somewhere else.. “What I need to do, who I need to call, where I need to be and so on” Sometimes a whole week passes by and I realize I wasn´t even there.. I was somewhere else! It’s starting to bother the shit out of me so now I got a new mission.. Stay in the present!
That’s all that matters ?

I think it’s funny how we filter our lifes in order to make it look as good as possible in the eyes of others!

Our life is totally not perfect but no way were gonna write about the horrable diarrhea we had the other day or the conversation we had with our granny about her rash.
No! We want the world to know that we totally got it together!

Our face is clean, our hair is shiny and our food is colorful and without calories … We have the best way-kays and our kids are more beautiful and say funnier things!

How would we look without a filter?

I bet we would look real and thoughtful and painfully awkvard and I bet people wouldn’t love us any bit less!

Choices

Every day we’re making choices! We’re choosing everything from what we stuff into our mouth to how we react in different situations.

We are creatures of habbits but we’re not slaves to them even though it seems like that sometimes! We can always take a look at our choices and choose again! Choose different!
I think it’s very important to know what you want out of your life! Know why you want it and why you should have it!
You can say: I wanna be rich and famous! Ok fine but why do you wanna be rich and famous? What’s the purpose of you being rich and famous? Why you?

Apply this to your own dreams! Find the answers! When these three elements are holding hands you will start to choose accordingly, every hour of everyday!

You will be so aware of what you need and what you don’t need because it’s crystal clear where you are heading and why you are heading there!
Find out what you really want! Find out why you want it and why you should get it and start choosing it!

Renovations

Yub! That’s what’s going in in my life right now…dust, the strong smell of wall-paint, tools everywhere and the house has been a mess for the last couple of weeks but now were done! The ugly 3 layer wallpaper is down, the holes in the walls and on the floor are filled up, the douple doors have been glazed and now the apartment is Bey-autifull!

A fotographer is coming in today, to get our apartment ready for selling! But are we selling right away?

Hell no!

We just wan’t our apartment to be ready when and if we do find another one that qualifies to take over the princes and queen of Södermalm who actually need a bigger place.

No offence to our wonderful apartment but we didn’t realize how big our personalities were till we were living together in our 50-something square meter palace, screaming at each other.. Craving a large living room with doors to slam when were upset..

Now we are going to get good pictures, good price, find the right apartment and start the next chapter!

Selfies & Self-ease

I canged my hair color the other day! Went from Brown to platinum blond. Not a very intresting story actually except that since my 30 year old panic crisis started couple of months ago I’ve been very aware of routines in my life I wanna change.. Like how I spend my time, with whom and what things I like to be in focus! Trying new things is one of these things hintch the changing of hair style.

The more interesting part is how people can start to sense the changes I’m going throw along with personal growth and increased self esteem so they start to change their attitude towards me…

For example my love for selfies.. Selfies only serve one purpose! They boost one’s ego in a accurate amound of the numbers of likes you get on facebook. So why am I doing this..? Partly reassuring myself that I still look good even though I’ve turned 30 or something else?

Some people seem to have hard time dealing with my sensational selfies these days! What’s up with that?

Well … I know this! I am 30 now and I am starting to feel good about myself again, I’m too “old” now to give a damn what people think so I’m going to keep on making those selfies and making people inspired… Or horny.. Or jealous

Whatever rocks your boat.. Know what I mean?!

Easter vol. 1

Yesterday Daniels mom came over for dinner. It was her birthday so we invited her for dinner and easter egg painting, Swedish style.

I made this gorgeoud home-made Tomato/Basillica soup and Sonja made Focaccia with olives! Yum!! The bread loving fat-boy inside me was screaming with joy ?

Daniel came home from his trip to Barcelona the same eavning so we had a wonderful welcome home/birthday dinner and everyone went to sleep bloaded after the over-eating

Me and my collegue, Martina had a cosy evening the other day! We made chicken-salad with Halumi and strawberrys and drank redwine and talked about deep stuff the whole evening!

I love to just hangout, talk shit and enjoy the moment with friends! It’s the best thing there is…. Well apart from getting drunk on a beach with your friends and skinny dip in the ocean … Duhh

Last night I had a night like this with Sonja! We talked about million things, ate home-made meetballs and drank redwine! Then we watched a home-searching TV show about British people searching for their dream house in Italy and dreamed about byuing one for ourself ?

Well.. This blondie wishes you the best possible easter! Remember to enjoy the time you got with your nearest and dearest!

Summerhouse

Last year my significant other half bought a small summer house in outside of Stockholm. For a nature loving Icelander like me, it’s pure gold to be able to enjoy a quiet day away from the city

Yesterday we decited to paint one of the bedrooms to get a bit fresher feeling! We used a see through white so the wood would still be visible

The outcome:

Now we got one more room left and then we can start inviting friends over!

This summer will be great!!!

Thai Meatballs

One of my favorite restaurants in Stockholm is BERNS! My favorite dish is their Thai Meatballs…

I’ve tried to copy their recipe the best I can for the last two or three years and now I can proudly say that I’m getting quite close..

The meatballs:

Beef, onion, garlic, milk, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and spice cumin

Baked in the owen under 200 degrees until the meatballs are crispy and shining

The sauce:

Creamy coconut milk, ICA red curry and red curry paste.. Boild for couple of minutes..

Voila!!!

Served with garlic salad! Mmmmmm
